Here’s a very rare one. One of the first double cutaway Juniors from 1958. Only a few were made with the enlarged pick guard like this.
It has the earliest serial number I’ve seen on a double cutaway Les Paul Junior.
The pick up may have been rewound as the solder joint looks re-done. The pots have 1957 date codes.
As can be seen in the pictures this guitar has seen a lot of use. Plenty of checking, dents, scratches and gouges. The frets are original and have plenty of playing time left on them. No breaks.
The original finish has faded to a light orange on the front with the back having slightly more cherry look.
